Making a purchase

Prices

All our prices include VAT and are shown in £ sterling and exclude any delivery and credit card transaction charges. We reserve the right to change any advertising prices at any given time. The price you pay is the price shown on this website at the point you place your order, the only exception is where an error has occurred with the page on the website. N.B. Prices go up & down on a frequent basis. When you order an item(s) at the displayed price(s) your are purchasing it at that price(s) at that time. Should a price subsequently change after your order is placed we will be unable to adjust the order to the latest price. In the occasion that there is an error with the price on any number of good you have ordered we will contact you as soon as possible to offer you either a to cancel or pay the correct price; If you do choose to cancel we will offer you a full refund and if we can't contact you we will automatically cancel the order.

Buy Now, Pay Later

We now offer you the option to buy today and pay for your goods later. For purchases over £300, pay 0% deposit now and the balance in 12 months. Pay the balance in full before the end of the 12 months and there is no interest to pay whatsoever, just a one-off settlement fee of £29.

If you’d rather spread the cost over 36 months, you can set up a repayment plan when the payment-free period comes to an end at 24.9% APR representative. 12 month representative example:

Cash Price £500, 10% deposit of £50, credit amount £450. 12 months after purchase, either settle the amount by paying £479 (credit amount £450 + £29 settlement fee) or start 36 monthly repayments of £19.32, total amount payable (including deposit) £745, 24.9% APR representative.

Shipping & Handling

Delivery

We offer standard local delivery to Leicestershire, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire. We will deliver further by appointment.

Delivery dates are estimated at all times and may be delayed to stock shortages, manufacturing delays or delivery vehicle issues or traffic related. Max Electrical shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering the goods. Acceptance of your order participated when the goods are loaded onto our vehicles for delivery to you. If you find you cannot keep to the delivery slot, you must give us 24 hours notice before delivery. In the case of a failed delivery charges may be applied for any of the following reasons. 1) You cancel the delivery after the point the goods are loaded onto the vehicle. 2) You provide incorrect/insufficient contact details or an incorrect delivery address resulting in our failure to deliver the goods. 3) Your refuse delivery upon arrival at the address. 4) There is no-one at the delivery address to accept delivery. (You should allow a whole day to accept delivery). 5) There are parking restrictions or problems in accessing the property such as narrow doorways & stairs which you failed to notify our shop team by booking over the phone or face to face in store. By booking an appointment online you're accepting there are no parking restrictions or limited access such as stairs & narrow doorways which we should be informed of.

We only deliver to ground floor properties (unless a lift is available or by further arrangement in store) this does include a maximum of 3 steps. For more specialist deliveries please call us on 01455 557177.

Our delivery team are happy to maneuver a appliance into any unobstructed room but can't be held responsible for any damage caused. It's your responsibility to protect any property.

Once we have delivered and you've accepted the goods we cannot be held responsible for any damage you or a 3rd party do to the goods.

Additional Service

We do have the means for a small additional charges to disconnect and take away the old appliance to be recycled , take away packaging & use 2 man to complete an install upon request.

Installation

Max Electrical use their own in-house employees to do all the installation. The only time a third party will be used is for when a Gas engineer is required to install an appliance. Our services are offered Monday to Saturday between 9am to 6pm and are only available with the LE17 Postcode area.

Televisions

Standard Installation is chargeable and includes attaching pedestal to TV, positioning, tuning in to existing Aerial Point and connection to Wi-Fi and performing a demonstration. We will unwrap your new appliance and take away all the packaging as required.

Sound Systems

We only offer a chargeable installation service. If any drilling or wall mounting is required it will be at a additional cost and will be needed to be made by appointment. All other brands of sound systems are deliveries only. If you would like them to be installed please contact us on 01455 557177.

Blu-ray & DVD

These are delivery only products. If you would like them installing please call us on 01455 557177.

Freestanding Appliances

This is available of fridges, dishwashers, freezers, fridges, fridge freezers, dryers, washer dryers & washing machines.

The service includes unpacking your new product and taking away the packaging, connecting the new appliance to existing pipe work and electricity supplies, levelling and fitting the appliance into the space.

Your responsibilities before we fit the appliance are to make sure that the appliance will fit in to the home and slot, there is easy access to the pipe work, your stop valves are working correctly on any wet appliances, there is enough room for vent tubes on dryers. When don't make any alterations to electrical connections or plumbing. We don't make any alterations to electrical connections or plumbing. We don't connect the appliance if it puts the consumer or fitter at risk or if the appliance does not meet safety guidelines. We don't install cooker hoods or make any alterations to stone surfaces.

Freestanding Cookers & Range Cookers

The service includes unpacking your new product and taking away the packaging, Levelling and fitting the appliance into the space.

Your responsibilities before we fit the appliance are to make sure that the appliance will fit in to the home and slot. When don't make any alterations to electrical connections or plumbing. We don't make any alterations to electrical connections or plumbing. We don't install cooker hoods or make any alterations to stone surfaces.

American Fridge Freezers

The service includes unpacking your new product and taking away the packaging, connecting the new appliance to existing pipe work and electricity supplies, levelling and fitting the appliance into the space.

Your responsibilities before we fit the appliance are to make sure that the appliance will fit in to the home and slot, there is easy access to the pipe work, your stop valves are working correctly on any wet appliances, there is enough room for vent tubes on dryers. When don't make any alterations to electrical connections or plumbing. We don't make any alterations to electrical connections or plumbing. We don't connect the appliance if it puts the consumer or fitter at risk or if the appliance does not meet safety guidelines. We don't install cooker hoods or make any alterations to stone surfaces. There may be additional charges if a 2 man lift is required or we have to take doors off, or make alterations to the home to get the appliance in.

Built-in & Integrated Appliances

This is available of fridges, dishwashers, freezers, fridges, fridge freezers, dryers, washer dryers & washing machines.

N.B. We only offer this service for replacing existing integrated or built-in appliances and we only install to existing connections.

 

This service includes disconnection and disposal of the old appliance, unpacking your new product and taking away the packaging. Removing the plinths and panel of your old appliance then fitting them to the new appliance. Connect the new appliance to existing pipe work and electricity supplies. Doing basic carpentry work required such as drilling holes, cutting work top for bigger hobs. Levelling and fitting the appliance into the space.

Your responsibilities before we fit the appliance are to make sure that the existing door panel is in adequate condition to be refitted, the appliance will fit in to the home and slot, there is easy access to the pipe work, your stop valves are working correctly on any wet appliances, there is enough room for vent tubes on dryers. We don't make any alterations to electrical connections or plumbing. We don't connect the appliance if it puts the consumer or fitter at risk or if the appliance does not meet safety guidelines. Install cooker hoods. Make any alterations to stone surfaces.

Failed Installations

If a installation of a appliance fails because the customer did not inform us or comply with the Terms & Conditions we reserve the right to charge the consumer half the price of the installation cost for a Failed Installation

Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination - harming wildlife and also human health.

We can help

We are pleased to offer our customers the chance to recycle their old electrical items.

Max Electrical are doing their bit under these regulations to offer their customers the option to recycle their old appliance, we can collect old electrical goods for a fee. Or you can return/drop off items at Max Electrical, 2 Church St. Lutterworth, Leics, LE17 4AW.

Max Electrical are doing their bit under these regulations to offer their customers the option to recycle their old appliance like-for-like when they purchase a new electrical appliance by taking away their old appliance when we deliver their new one.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

WEEE

What is WEEE?

The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.

Returns & Replacements

Damaged and Faulty Goods

Do not install any damaged items. When you do this you accept the goods and therefore it is non-returnable and non-refundable.

Damaged goods must be reported within 48 Hours of delivery

In the event of this keep all packaging, accessories, instructions etc together and email photographic evidence to [email protected].

If the product is faulty and required further inspection please call Max Electrical on 01455 557177 then we can organise a repair or a replacement.

Unwanted Goods

Do not package or install unwanted items. When you do this you accept the goods and therefore it is non-returnable and non-refundable.

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you do have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of the receipt without a reason.

You can choose to return good at your own costs to Max Electrical, 2 Church Street, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 4AW or we can arrange collection. If you want collection we will come when we're next in your area. We will not pay for returns via mail. We will not charge you for collection.

You have a duty of care whilst the goods are in your possession and you will be liable for any damage to goods in this period. Full refunds will be fulfilled for items which are returned with no damage.

We do have the right to enforce re-handling charges for items returned for circumstances such as its new but components or bits of packaging are missing or it's after the 7 day notification period required.

We will not accept returns and give refunds for goods in any other condition than new, or if they have been installed & used, and if cables have been cut/terminated.

Refunds will be reimbursed within 30 days of the cancellation date.

Max Electrical do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Guarantee

Manufacturers Guarantees and extended warranties

All goods we sell come with a minimum 12 month parts & labour guarantee issued by the manufacturer which is subject to provisions that the appliance is only used for domestic purposes (not trade or commercial use), been used in accordance with the manual provided and has not been misused, damaged, modified or repaired by someone other than the manufacturers engineers.

It is the consumers responsibility to apply for and receive documentation of extended warranties by a manufacturer. Max Electrical will not be held accountable if the consumer has failed to register the extended warranty and are unable to claim from a manufacturer for any repairs which may need doing.
